Marie Snyder Kister's father, Homer Nathan Snyder, son of Nathan H. Snyder, owned and operated the New Tripoli Garage from 1914 to 1930. Mr. Snyder founded, established, and operated Ontelaunee Park from 1929 to 1966, a total of 37 years.

The George Zeisloff log house, built in the 1740's, was originally located along Zeisloff Road about a mile west of New Tripoli. It was moved to Ontelaunee Park in 2001. In the preservation process, we have tried to restore this house as closely as possible to the original structure.
