Weisenberg/Lowhill Historical Society: Weisenberg Township was established on March 20, 1753 at Easton (the county seat of Northamptoin County), WeisenbergTownship was part of the territory purchased by Thomas Penn in September 1737 from the Lenni-Lenape tribe of the Delaware American Indians. Lowhill Township was established on December 18, 1753, Lowhill Township is located in the central portion of Lehigh County.
